- Left to right, as follows (I think):
-
- First three are drive address. Put them all down to set the internal drive
- to unit 0 (normal setting). You can change this if needed, it is a straight
- binary switch arrangement.
-
- 4th switch is test mode. I don't remember what this does, and haven't
- looked at the drive docs in years. It can be left in the down position, as I
- recall.
-
- 5th switch is autoboot. If the drive is formatted and bootable, and you
- have at least kickstart 1.3, put it up. If the drive isn't formatted, you may
- have to put it down, boot with the supratools disk, and format the disk, then
- put it back up.

-
- The ones on the right side of the unit, near where it plugs into the 500?
-
- One, at least, is the internal/external power supply selector. Possibly
- both. If you're using only the 500's own supply, and don't have a separate
- supply for the drive unit (which plugs into the back of the drive), leave
- these jumpers on.

- 256k x4 or 1Mx4 DIP, almost any speed you can find nowadays will work. I
- think 120NS would work.
-
- >4) Can I use a ZIP drive with it?
-
- Most likely, yes. You'll need a DB-25 SCSI to (whatever's on the ZIP drive)
- cable. The controller supports other removable media. You may need the
- software from Supra to setup the drive. If the original owner used the
- standard setup, all of that stuff is in the Supra drawer on the Workbench
- partition.
